How Runva fits together
Spaces, Agents, Threads, Runs, Computers, and where each kind of state belongs.
Runva is a place to keep AI teammates that carry on working after you close your laptop, and that your whole team can work with.
Two ideas do most of the work. An Agent is the teammate: the one who understands what you want and works out what to do. A Computer is where the work happens: files, software, a browser, a screen you can watch. Keeping the two apart is what lets you change one without disturbing the other.
The pieces
- Space is your organization. People, Agents, Computers, Threads, and shared resources all live in one. Being in a Space doesn’t mean seeing everything in it.
- Agent is a teammate with a name, a purpose, an owner, and instructions you write. Think of one as a lane of work rather than a job title.
- Thread is a conversation with an Agent, kept permanently. The messages, the work, the approvals, and anything produced all belong to it.
- Run is one attempt at something inside a Thread. A Run can stream, wait for you, fail, be steered while it’s going, or finish, and the Thread carries on either way.
- Computer is a working environment that keeps its files, installed software, browser sessions, and running programs between conversations. More than one Agent can share one on purpose.
- Library is where your team’s shared knowledge and Skills live.
- Connection is access to an outside service. A team Connection belongs to the Space; a personal one belongs to you and the Agents you own.
- Automation is a schedule or a trigger that starts an Agent working without you.
Where things belong
The conversation lives in the Thread. Files, installed tools, and browser sessions live on the Computer. A procedure worth repeating is a Skill. Facts your team has agreed on are Knowledge. Access to outside services lives in Connections, never written into instructions or into a message.
An Agent holds only so much in mind at once, and older messages fall out of that window as a conversation grows. The Thread keeps all of it, and an Agent can search and reread it.
